Prof. Christie Stansie Abaidoo

Prof. Chrissie Stansie Abaidoo is a Human Anatomist with over 20 years of teaching and research experience; a Stereologist, a Reproductive Scientist and an expert on Teaching Innovations. She holds a PhD degree in Human Anatomy and Cell Biology from the University of Sheffield, in the United Kingdom. She is a fellow of the West Africa College of Morphologists and a member of the Anatomical Society of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Anatomical Society of West Africa. She was recognised as the first female Head of Human Anatomy at any University in the West African Sub-region, first Female Associate Professor of Human Anatomy in Ghana and first Ghanaian Female Professor of Human Anatomy.   In addition she was recognized as the first Female Vice-Dean of the School of Medical Sciences first female Vice-Dean of the School of Medicine and Dentistry.
