Dr. Ruth Owusu-Antwi is a Fellow of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons and holds an MBChB and an MSc.Global Mental health from KNUST.
She is a Lecturer at Department of Behavioural Sciences at the School of Medicine and Dentistry.
She also practices in Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital as a Snr specialist and the current head of the Psychiatry Unit.
She is the Medical Director of Recovery Pathways, a private clinic that specializes in mental health and Employee Assistance Program(EAP)
She has won many awards in her field of practice, including the 2019 international fellow of the Association of Women Psychiatrists in San Francisco, U.S, in recognition of her work towards women mental health.
She has been recognized by President Akufo-Addo and the Ghana Health Service for her role as the Ashanti Regional Lead for Psychosocial support during the Covid Pandemic.
She is the current President of Psychiatric Association of Ghana (PAG).
She is a prolific conference speaker and a researcher with several publications and books to her credit. Her research interest is in the area of Gender-based violence, women mental health and Addiction.
